Guwahati, 15th August, (northeastnews): Royal Global School celebrated the 69th Independence Day by hoisting the National Flag measuring 30 x 20 on a 111 feet high flag mast which makes it the highest flagpole in this part of the country, the flag was hoisted by Addl Chief Guest MGVK Bhanu, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Government of Assam.
The National Flag would remain unfurled throughout the year and it is hoped that the Tricolor would remind the Royalites of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and brave soldiers and would also instill in them the true spirit of democracy.
Addressing the gathering The Principal of the School, Anubha Goyal stressed on the role of educators as nation builders to edify our young minds to become responsible, tolerant, patient and pro-active adults who would take pride in being Indians and work towards the progress of the nation.
The Principal also stressed on the need to build up strong values so that the youth of today develop the courage to stand up to their right and for what is right.
M.G.V.K Bhanu, in his speech, congratulated the School management for taking the initiative to unfurl the highest National flag in the North east. Quoting Mohammad Syed Sadullah, the representative of Assam to the Constituent Assembly he emphasized on the National Flag and what the three colors of the flag stand for and urged the students to value their freedom and rise against corruption.
