Capt PP Singh President Khalsa Recreation Centre, Sardar Satnam Singh Chief Advisor Sikh Pratinidhi Board Eastern Zone while talking to the media informed that it is very unfortunate that in 70 years we have not been able to give due respect to people who laid their life during the freedom struggle of the country.
They said it is very unfortunate that when it comes to honouring these great men and women only people of their community honour them while they sacrificed their life for the country and not for any particular community, just like Subhash Chandra Bose, Kanak Lata, Bhagat Singh are remembered by their communities only.
To serve the society in a bigger way the members of the community also started a new group named Khalsa Blood Donors Group which will help anyone from any community needing blood, irrespective of their caste Creed sex or religion at anytime of the day or night.
On the first day these 25 volunteers came forward and pledged to become members in the service of humanity. We plan to officially launch the group on the Baisakhi day the day Khalsa was born and our Gurus gave us the philosophy of Manas ki Jaat Sabhey Ekai Pehchanbo.
Thus we plan to serve the society and spread this group to other cities of North East also and we invite all the members of society irrespective of their caste Creed and religion to come forward and enroll their names in the group if they are willing to help society and donate blood at any time of the day or night
If you wish to be a member you can leave your name and number with us on whatsapp at 9435040009 we will get back to you.
